Training

  • PCA Fundamentals of Home Care
    Six (6) hour online training for people who are interested in learning about providing care in someone's home. The goal of this training is to share guidelines to stay safe and healthy while performing direct care work.
  • Becoming a PCA
    Twenty (20) minute online learning module that offers details and videos of the PCA job.

1199 SEIU Training and Upgrading Fund (TUF)

Contact TUF to ask about the PCA new hire orientation (NHO), skills training and other PCA benefits. They can provide interpretation in any language.

Mass PCA Directory

The state’s online referral platform to connect consumer-employers to PCAs. Contact the Helpline for help with setting up your profile, posting a job, applying for a job, etc. Live operators are available Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm. They can offer help in any language.

Tempus Unlimited, Inc. (Tempus)

Tempus is the fiscal intermediary for the MassHealth PCA program. Contact Tempus to ask about new hire paperwork, tax forms, and non-payment issues (after discussing with the consumer-employer). They can offer help in any language.
IMPORTANT – do not work as a PCA until your new hire paperwork has been submitted and approved by Tempus.

Healthcare Navigator:

There is a Healthcare Navigator dedicated to helping PCAs access health insurance.
