The toolkit will assist you and your job seekers in determining if the role of a personal care attendant (PCA) is a good fit.

This online course prepares individuals to work as an agency-based home care aide. This is a video-based course. A video host will present key concepts and in-depth knowledge of related topics and responsibilities of home care aides.

This online training is for anyone.  The goal of this training is to learn how some types of dirt and cleaning products can make individuals with asthma sick. It provides tips and suggestions for making a home safer for individuals with asthma.

(25 minutes)

In your work as a direct care worker, you may see side effects of opioid use or signs of misuse that family members or doctors may not see. This training outlines the risks and benefits of opioid use and how to recognize problems in the older adults you work with.

The Commonwealth’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) older adults deserve to be treated with dignity and compassion. To ensure that elder care providers are prepared to work with LGBT older adults the LGBT and Aging in Massachusetts training will explain and provide scenarios to better understand their unique needs. This training is appropriate for any individual who works with older adults.
