What settings do I need for my Browser to work with Moodle?
Two cookies are used by this site:
The essential one is the session cookie, usually called MoodleSession. You must allow this cookie into your browser to provide continuity and maintain your login from page to page. When you log out or close the browser this cookie is destroyed (in your browser and on the server).
The other cookie is purely for convenience, usually called something like MOODLEID. It just remembers your username within the browser. This means when you return to this site the username field on the login page will be already filled out for you. It is safe to refuse this cookie - you will just have to retype your username every time you log in.
Why didn't I receive the confirmation email after creating my account?
There could be several reasons why you didn't receive the confirmation email. First, check your spam folder. The email may have been blocked and sent to your junk mail or spam folder. If you still cannot locate the email, it is quite possible that the email was blocked by the server and never arrived in your mailbox.
How do I change my password?
In the upper right corner of the home screen, click on “log in”. Under the password box is “Forgotten your username and password?”, click on that to search for your username or email address. Instructions will be emailed to you. Be sure to check your SPAM or JUNK folder for this email. If this does not work, please email us at pcadirectcare@umassmed.edu.
Where can I find more information about the online trainings?
These FREE trainings will help you develop skills for home care work. A certificate is awarded for any training you complete. Print or save your certificates, the website does not save certificates.
A username and password are required, which will save your place if you need to leave a training before finishing it. When you log back in you will start where you left off. Your username and password are never shared with anyone.

I am a professional, how do I get the course materials for the ABCs for Direct Care Workers?

This annual event provides the overview, requirements, and access to the materials for you to deliver the ABC’s for DCW at your school or worksite.
