ATTENTION PCAs: These modules are NOT part of the three-hour PCA Orientation required by MassHealth for all new PCAs hired as of January 1, 2014. These online learning modules are a free resource for anyone interested in the direct care field. Whether you are one of the growing numbers of informal caregivers providing care for a loved one at home or a current direct care worker interested in brushing up on your skills and knowledge. They are designed to be interactive and self-paced, meaning you can start and stop the modules whenever you wish.

Tip: If you stop the module early, take note of the scene you are on (highlighted on the left hand menu of your screen) so that you can return to the place you left off.

Here are a few things you should know before you begin.

  1. The modules include audio narration as well as closed captioning.  To access the closed captioning click on the “CC” symbol at the bottom right hand corner of your screen.
  2. You move forward and backwards through the module by using the navigation buttons labeled “Prev” and “Next” or by clicking on the topic you wish to select on the menu.
